City of Hobart Bushcare: Invite to Mountain Bike Track Working Bees May 2015
Exciting news - the City of Hobart Bushcare program has a new Bushcare group dedicated to developing and maintaining a sustainable mountain bike track network in Hobart.
The group has two working bees coming up that we’d like to invite you to participate in.
Tip Top Track maintenance + welcome to Bushcare BBQ
Come join us where it all began - Tip Top. There’s plenty of things to be done to help maintain the current track. Over a BBQ lunch, you’ll also have the opportunity to talk with the Bushcare Coordinator (Lisa Cawthen) about how this new group will operate, who might step into the roles of group convenors, and maybe even come up with a group name!
When Sunday 3 May 2015, 9am - 3pm (you don’t have to come for the whole session)
Where South Hobart -Go to the top of Old Farm Road and meet us at the car park. Car parking is limited so car pool or ride if possible. From the car park you will be directed through the gate into Wellington Park. Turn right and ride, or walk, up the Main Fire Trail to the junction with a fire trail that runs along the ridge to the right. Head down this fire trail to where you will see a council vehicle parked at the meeting point. We will post signs in case you are running late.If you know where the Tip Top track is then just head to the top for a 9am start.
